seeking a ruddy bluebird rudder
Hello
Very nice repair job!
I'm looking after my brother's boat while he's living in the UK and the rudder went missing before he handed it over to me.
We'd really like to get it back sailing, but as you said in your original post -- there is no-one local to make a replacement.
So my question is would you like to make another one as a copy of yours? I know it was probably a labour of love, but we would like another one just the same! It looks more or less identical to his bluebird, and the same vintage.
If you are interested in the job and can send us a quote or have any other suggestions would love to hear from you.
Thanks!

Give it a shot, the tasks aren't especially difficult and you don't need to be particularly precise either. I wouldn't bother with the cloth sheathing, unless you'd like several seasons from it. A strip planked blade with some hardwood cheeks, mount the hardware and you're good to go. Even a none no foil shaped blade, with flat sides and square leading and trailing edges, will do just fine on that type of boat. It doesn't have to be pretty, just well mounted and of the appropriate area. Go for it . . .
