Thread: Surf boats - from Broulee surf lifesaving club at Pickes auction in Canberra

I was at the general goods auction at Pickles Auctions in Canberra Online Auctions, Buy PC Online, Buy TV Online - Pickles Auctions Australia and they were trying to sell two old school wooden surf lifesaving boats from the Broulee Surfers SLSC. No interest from the floor for $500 each. My wife had to strap my arm down. After all what would I do in Canberra with a 7 meter long wooden hull designed to be rowed through surf by a team of 5 burly blokes. Not sure how they got there or why they thought Canberra would be a good place to sell surf boats. Contact Pickles Canberra if you are interested I suppose.
