Wanted - old wooden rowing shells and oars
Old rowing shells and oars are still being burned or dumped because they are just too time consuming and expensive to repair on anything like a commercial basis
If you have or know of a club that might be prepared to let an old wooden scull, or pair/ double, four or eight or wooden spoon type oars ( sweeps or sculls ) go to a new home for new lease on life please let me know
... and yes, I actually do put these things back on the water and row them with a few like-minded tragics ...
thanks
David ( Rower, wood-worker and wooden shell rowing tragic )
