I've done a bit more on renovating the old part of the shed this last week.
Here it was unlined.
Attachment 194692
Now it's fully insulated and the walls are now lined - I'm not bothering with the ceiling. The wall framing on the old shed was very wonky so the lining is not a very neat job but most of the walls will be covered with shelving and cupboards so most of it won't even be seen. The gyproc is really there just as additional insulation and to protect the bubble foil insulations underneath.
The aircon is working really well and given that both the old and new part of the shed are insulated clearly helps.
Oh yeah, and the DC ducting is more or less complete.
The front door to the old part of the shed has been replaced by a window.
Here is the view from the inside. SWMBO is getting some bench space under the window to put her gemstone processing stuff there.
The 4" blast gate and flexy is her vacuum line to keep her bench tidy and as dust free as possible. Later I will build her a fume hood style arrangement so that her rock dust won't get out into the rest of the shed.
I made the outer frame from some bits and pieces I salvaged from various skips. The window itself is one of 3 from our old back veranda that was demolished with the house reno 15 years ago. I used 2 of the windows on the old shed but they disintegrated due to lack of care. I alway knew I would find some use for that 3rd window. The glass is in the window but knowing my penchant for breaking glass I decided I should protect the glass from the inside with some spare corrugated PC while I'm renovating the inside.
Here is what the window looks like from the outside.
I'm going to over clad the fibre cement sheeting on the old shed with the same colorbond sheeting as the new part. I've just done the two sheets of colorbond around the window frame for the moment. To clad the rest I have to tackle that bougainvillea which is a winter time job.
The blue tarp is covering part of the huge piles of stuff (bench, timber, various cupboards etc) from the old part of the shed. I need to wait for 6 more weeks so the concrete floor can cure so it can be painted before I can move everything back in in.
Here is what the old shed with door used to look like.

Not much to report this weekend although I did get a coat of paint on the internal walls.
Now I just have to wait for another month so the floor cures so that it can be painted. I have a few sets of shelves that attach to the back wall that I can get on with.

SWMBO won't permit us to have a separate garden shed to keep the garden crapola out of the shed so I have to create a space to store garden stuff in the shed. The poisons and the battery powered mower can go under the house where a handy powerpoint keeps the battery charged up. However, the 1.2 m high space under the house makes it somewhat awkward for tools so I created a garden tool corner wall in the shed.
7 mm ply cladding stops the tools from dinging the gyprock cladding and also made it easy to attach the 25 mm diam doweling "hooks" to the right height.
Some of the hooks are doubles so that tools can be hung up as shown here.
The reason the LHS sheet is not fully covered with "hooks" is because a cupboard will encroach into that space.

It's 14 years old and apart from the electrical controls which have seen better days the rest is OK which is surprising since the body is just made of of plastic.
I used to be able to mow our small lawn 3 times on one charge but now, even thought the amount of lawn has been reduced by about half it just gets through it in one go but I guess the battery is 14 years old.
I have never been able to let the lawn get too high or it becomes a double pass operation so that has me mowing on a fairly regular basis - I guess that's a good thing.

I must have had a convincing argument as SWMBO allowed me to put up a gardening tool specific shed - and the odd woodwork tool lives there (chainsaw)
