work with camphor laurel.
could someone please tell me if it is ok to make salt and pepper shakers out of camphor laurel. D you have to coat the inside anything , like a food grade lacquer.

I have made a set with camphor and no coating inside. The people it went to are still alive and well and have never complained of the taste being affected. When the wood is dry the the smell is almost gone so just let them air for a while before use.

Haven't heard of any problems but I think the salt might stay drier if the inside was sealed.
