Extenda Brackets
I have a 6x6 gal shed. and want to put a carport to one side. To get the desired height I will need to do a flyover skillion roof.
My problem is that I cannot find any info on the net regarding the use of Extenda brackets on steel portal frames.
The frames are 150x65x1.9 gal C purlins and the corners are joined via 3mm gal plates with bolts.
Extenda brackets are meant to anchor to a rafter and a top plate but obviously I do not ha a top plate bot the portal frame ca act as a rafter.
Does any one know if:
Bolting an angled piece to the frame to act like a top plate will be satisfactory?
Will bolting the Extenda to the portal frame through the 4.9 mm of steel be satisfactory???
