On the recommendation of my VFD mentors, I bought a Powertran P19000. This one came via eBay from WA and was $150 plus $20 freight.

For comparison, the SAJ VFD manual is 135 pages, the Huayang's is 67, and the Honeywell VFD came with two manuals, 103 and 213 pages.

Sorry Bob, the impending blizzard will blow all the pages away then the snow will make the unreadable....

    Thats a really good deal.
Interesting that his 2.2kW is $150 while the 1.5kW model is $160.

A "white tornado" in Camden? Nah, it's just a rerun of an Ajax liquid cleaner ad from the 70's ?

I think his sister might one day be PM but I'm hoping he will be front row in Australia's future resurgent Rugby Union team.... although, other than riding tricycles down the ride-of-death driveway, his parents seem to be discouraging body contact sports?
I'll wait until the space is clear to make a decision but spreading existing stuff out will be 'politically more acceptable' than acquiring new stuff? A permanent home for the JET bandsaw that didn't get replaced by the Laguna is current front runner.

    Re VFDs

Can you connect them to 240v Motors to control their speed? If so, what's involved and would the unit Fletty bought do that job?

    Thanks for any feedback.
