Guys, guys, you got it all wrong. You're supposed to arrive after Andy's done all the work, just in time to share his beer.

    Well done to all concerned.

    Default I knew it....

I was doing a job with the local Men's Shed today, and they bought some 9-10mm ply sheets from the local Home Hardware. Andy's sheets would be either A/B sides or B/C (because of the gossamer thin top veneer). The sheets from HH would very lucky to be C/D, and more like D/E, full of bog ....or not, when they needed it....) and absolute crap for $35 a sheet (and 2-3mm thinner).

A most enjoyable day and an excellent lunch provided by Andy
However, without Ray's building nous (and his nail guns ) I think we would still be there.
It was great that everybody contributed (even Brett although we took a quiet vote and decide not to trust him with sharp objects) and a special thanks to Fletty for donating blood after walking into a carelessly placed spade bit (it was probably me that sat that there Fletty, sorry ) If anybody has anything that needs cutting with scissors, PacMan is the man for the job. Once his blisters heal of course.
First time for me(and a few others I think) using a Festool track saw. What a great bit of gear. Definitely on my wish list now.
More of a social event than a days work and I think we all learnt something in the process.
Really pleased that Andy can get into the shed and get back to woodworking.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

A most enjoyable day, great blokes, great comradery.

Me thinks we all enjoyed creating a workshop that we all would like, that ply is awesome for the price.

The mallet was a nice touch and the generosity of several people was appreciated.

Andy showed us one of the boxes he made...absolutely fantastic.

Credit to Bret for organizing it all.
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers

Very pleased that the flying squad physician was able to save the leg. I didn't realise you had taken a photo of the incident and I had forgotten how huge and scary looking that 'spade bit' was.

    Nice pic Fletty!

Greg- no 3 phase, just a couple of 20 amp sockets which should do me fine.

I'm looking forward to the show but I doubt I'll be spending much this year. Maybe a couple boards but I'll work that out with you closer to the date.

    Cheers

    This looks great.

I would have been in. Kids jumping all over me just as I sat down to read. Will come back and go over it again later
