Default Inside my (very) old shed.

I really wanted to start my shed pics off with shots from its initial condition and go through the renovations before getting to the inside shots, but I took these today while I was getting some pics of my router table project. So here they be.
Sorry but it was the maid's day off and I'm not too good with bending over to clean up wood shavings. I'll leave them for the termites.
Ok, let's see now. I had to d/l the pics first so I could then describe what hey are.
First is my wood lathe, second is the metal lathe, next is the bench drill and accessories and then just a shot dow the other way with the Laguna b/saw on the right and finally just a pic of my main bench and the table saw on the left.
I'll try to get the reno shots as soon as I can.

    Cheers,
    Bob

Looks very neat and tidy to my eyes. Love the arm chair and TV. (Just going out to the shed to do a bit of work!)

    Hi Bob,

Nice setup with all the essential and then some. I'd love some more room so I could expand my workshop.

Unfortunately the arm chair and TV aren't for my benefit. The bit you couldn't see past the chair was the made up bed in front of the TV. All that stuff is for a mate of mine who still works where I used to and because of the shift work he does, he tends to arrive late at night when he gets to drop in after arvo shifts ..... about 1.00am or so. Plus he sometimes likes to stay up at nights and play with the metal lathe making all sorts of nifty little things for himself while he's here.
Also we have a wood heater rigged up near there too so it's all nice and comfy for him.

I spent a bit of time this arvo scratching through my iPhoto collection looking for the first pics of my old shed before I started to turn it into more than a wallpapered termites' nest.
Now that I have enough decent pics to kick off a new thread, I'll try to get it going tomorrow.
I know it's not going to be a ground up build of a nice new building (not criticising those who are doing this at all) so I'll show a few pics and see what sort of feedback I get to see if people want to see more of its development from a termite's nest into a rat's nest.

    Later,
    Bob

    Default Old shed.....early days.

Here's one of the early pics of my old shed and I'm afraid to say that this was taken AFTER we tidied it up quite a bit.
As I get more of my pics in order, I'll try and put together a better sequence of how we "improved" it.
Those windows I was told were from a place where they used to put people who weren't always in control of their mental faculties. They don't open enough to allow a person to get through at all. Probably pretty apt now that I'm living here.

Sure is Kryn, and anything else that gets in my way.
This is my second tractor actually. I traded the first one in after I realised that I needed a bigger one to get things done quicker and better. One of the most essential things (I think) when getting a tractor is to have a 4 way bucket for grabbing things rather than just trying to scoop them up.

So sorry to hear your move to the big smoke cost you your shed. I moved down here because I was losing my sheds at home in Sydney. When we first saw this place for sale on line, the shed was the first pic I saw and that was it......love at first sight. It may be one of the ugliest sheds on this Forum, but at least I can call it mine. Cheers, Bob
