Hi Bob, I never even though of doing it at home. From the looks of what you have there it may have been possible as the zinc coat looks pretty thin which would have not seized the hinge or you would have been able to work it free at least.

Thanks Ross
Started to test hang the windows today. They are going together pretty well with no planing required yet.

This shed is nicer than my home! You are doing an amazing job of the shed, really inspiring.

Hi Jonesy
I've been looking at your shed build. What is the purpose of this flashing? I'm thinking vermin, water, termites? Is the flashing custom?
cheers

Hi kms
The flashing above the lower trim board is to stop water that sheds from the walls getting behind it or pooling on top. I guess the trim board also provides a visual barrier for termites as a bonus.
I got it custom folded at Metrol locally. I can post the profile if you like.
Cheers

Jonesy's Shed Build
Windows are finally in for good. It has taken more than 2 months to get them refurbished but well worth the effort I guess.
I was a little anxious about the fit of the windows. When I made the casements I allowed a 2mm gap between each window and from the end jambs, this has worked out pretty well with gaps going down to around 1.5mm once all together. As for the clearance from the top and bottom jambs I think I allowed 5mm each, this turned out to be a little too much, around 3mm would have been a little better. Anyway on to the gutters now.
Used nickel coated brass screws for the fixtures.
Cheers

This 'shed' is going to be better built than most houses that are thrown up these days. A very neat looking project, the neighbours won't have anything to complain about.
Getting closer to completion, bet you can't wait to get everything set up and ready to make some shavings.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
No time for gloating just yet - I have booked both driveways in for September. So have to install storm water pipes, dig trench for electrical conduit, cement in a fence post and a steel post for the sliding gate out the front.

Gutters are done minus the down pipes.
Cheated and used the laser on the miter saw for the corners. Really reduced the amount of test fitting and trimming required in comparison to using a square.

Been busy putting the ceiling battens up. Will sheet with 4.5mm fibro and use timber D shaped cover strips.
Cheers
