Just checked the weather forecast, think I better put a tarp over it tomorrow.

Made some built in shelves this weekend.

The spindle moulder at the local joinery has broken down, so a 3 week wait for the remaining weather boards [emoji17].

Finished cladding and started on the fascia this weekend.

Also finished painting the windows. I think I will just use new 200mm Whitco stays from Bunnings as there is not much weight to support.

    Cheers

    Default Jonesy's Shed Build

Well that’s it, the roof and windows are finished. The doors will have to wait a few months until I get a few more things sorted in the big shed.

    Cheers

A very neat looking shed indeed. It probably would make a great cubbyhouse if you are not careful!

Hi Alan, funny you mention that, quite a few people have said the same thing. Maybe it brings out good childhood memories (or wishes).

We don’t have any children so it should be safe for a while yet.

The dog wouldn’t even consider it! She has her own bed in the house since she had a leg operation a few years ago.

I just woke her taking a photo...

Pretty hard to tell her to sleep out side now.

Hi haven’t updated this in awhile, mainly because the camera on my phone broke but it’s working again now.

Lots have happened, but mainly been gathering some machines.

So far I have managed to find with some considerable effort:

Waldown 8SN ex school from Victoria. Fitted a vfd with some advice from the forum.

Durden Top Turn 300, also ex school but from Brisbane. It is in almost mint condition, it has very little use.

Baker 2hp dust extractor from ACT. I have modified intake to 150mm and installed a pleated filter. Very hard to find dust extractors that have the intake pointing up which is what I wanted. I think the only real new option is some of the Italian machines.

Sorby Pro Edge, great for filleting knives.

And the latest was a Robland NLX combo. Mainly bought this over the other brands as the slider was the right size for the shed, and just able to cut a full 2400x1200 sheet.

Currently making some cabinets. It is a real breeze with the slider and scoring blade, almost therapeutic - until you have to lift another sheet onto the slider...

    Cheers
