Many of the Timbecon DCs either come standard with intakes up or can be reverse to have the intakes up.

Yes Ross filling up way too fast. I really need to get some proper storage organised. It’s nice to be at a point now where I can begin to make things though.
Hi Bob I did not notice the Timbecon units faced upwards. I payed $200 for the Baker and was lucky enough to have a family member travelling from ACT to QLD so I got it for a decent price at least. Really need to make a new over head dust hood/guard for the panel saw. The factory one doesn’t do much at all.
Fitted all the drawers runners and fixed the cabinets together and to the wall.

Have cut the drawer backs and bottoms. Just need to do the fronts.
Any ideas on the top? I was thinking of laminating some untreated pine.
Looking so fancy that stone might be the go!! :D
Done!

Stone might be a little too fancy Mountain Ash, I used 30mm ply edged with hardwood for the top because it was easy and cheap.
Might need to add a wall cabinet next to the switch board though.
Material cost was $1500, half of the cost was in draw boxes. I recon a cabinet maker would be at least $4000?
Awesome job.
Looks great. And a nice timber wall hung cabinet with glass doors and a few favourite hand tools would be perfect next to the switchboard, I reckon.
Hi Midnight
I’m pretty happy with it, there was abit of trial and error at the start but I came up with the following method using the equipment I had.
I used an clothes iron with a piece of cotton fabric on top of the edge banding. Once cooled I cut the ends off with a sharp chisel (could use utility knife ect) then used trim router with a 2mm round over bit (couldn’t find a 1mm one locally). No fancy jigs for the router just hold it steady and it turns out fine.
The main issue was getting the glue to stick evenly, takes a little practice with the iron to get a feel for how long heat it. Also it’s a little messy with the trim router even with the vac connected. It was probably the most time consuming part of the whole build as well.

I am considering buying some form of banding machine. It seems most edge banding is sold un-glued so a hot melt bander is probably on the cards. I haven’t really done any research on what would be best suited for a small workshop though.
I have received requests for two sewing room fit outs, a bar, outdoor kitchen and a wardrobe so it seems like I might be doing a fair bit of edge banding in the future...
Love that drill press! And pretty jealous of the Durden TT, it looks new!
