enjoy the break - and eventually, you'll get to enjoy the fruits of your labour. Must say, it's looking great, and I am a bit (lot) jealous !

Well hope you have all recovered from the break. It was a shock getting back up the ladder after spending 2 weeks surviving on trifle and rum tins... Anyway have made some more progress with the weather boards.

    Hi,

Nice looking shed, you have put some thought into it how you want it to look. Looking forward to your continued updates.

Made the window flashings during the week. Rather than weld the corners and compromise the zinc I will just touch them up with no more gaps and paint, that should keep them from rusting.

    Cheers

    Thanks Ross/Brian

Got all the boards to just above soffit height today, will do the gables now to make sure I have enough boards.

    Cheers

    Default Jonesy's Shed Build

Received the test window frame back from the sandblaster. He used the least abrasive medium he had, but I think it is a little too harsh on the silky oak. Looks like I will have to do it the hard way...

Well at least it got the paint off lol. I guess there is two options the hard way or buy silky oak and make them. Another option is to find someone who restores furniture and get them to remove the paint.

I did this is a piece of furniture and they placed it in some solution and it stripped the paint off and dissolved the glue, The piece of furniture (large ornate chair) was then pulled apart and reglued tightening all the joints, came up a treat.

Yeah I will probably just flame them, scrape and sand. Only repainting them anyway so it doesn’t have to be prefect.

    Thanks Stephen

Have started to box the soffits. Made a silly mistake with the fascia brackets, they hang too low so I have to cut the bearer at each bracket. Not a real big deal, just a little annoying.

    Cheers
