Not sure if it has been mentioned, the yellow tongue generally needs to be pushed(Hammered together along the joints, I remove the tongue it’s easily put pack in , an use a block of scrap ie 90/35 an tap it together.
It really not a big problem so don’t fret it.
Hopefully Ray or someone else can explain it more elegantly than me.
Cheers Matt.

I found the structafloor installation guide: https://www.australianpanelproducts....ion-manual.pdf
Some useful stuff in there. A few callouts I found useful for 19mm yellow tongue:
- If screwing, then use at least 10g 50mm type 17 screws (pg 15)
- Leave small gaps around the edges (ie don't butt up against the walls) for expansion (pg 11)
- Be careful to leave sufficient distance from the edges when positioning screws (particularly on the tongue and groove edges so you don't hit the tongue)
- Good diagrams and tables on pages 12 and 13 re fixing spacings
Interestingly they don't suggest putting noggins under the tongue and groove joins.

That is the purpose of the tongue, to keep the adjoining sheet edges level. Sheets should be layed across joists not parallel, thus supporting flooring edge at regular joist spacing intervals.

Just realised that there are two types of yellow tongue - standard and termite treated (h2). I'm on the central coast (north of Sydney), should I be getting the H2 stuff? Or is standard fine?

I've ordered the H2 stuff. But calling around almost no one sells the H2, only standard. The answer I got from most suppliers was that standard is fine and that since the whole thing is impregnated with glue there isn't much for the termites to eat....
I'm happy to be safe than sorry, but it was confusing!

Its not like its holding up your house or something its just the floor of the shed. Just use the regular stuff and deal with the termite problem IF it comes up.
