What do you mean how did you keep them in???? , My trouble was keeping them OUT.
My son was turning by the time he was 12, and my daughter by 14, they are now 26 & 23 respectively.
Now my granddaughter wants to follow her mothers foot steps, she loves Grandads Radios and wants to go fishing in the boat.

I called in at my old work, the other day, and picked up about 20 1200x800x20mm sheets of chipboard,.(freebie) Plus some 1mm thick.
they come over on the stock pallets from Germany.
Also went to the BIG GREEN SHED and brought 20 70x35 pine studs and I am now building new benches, for the little shed..
I have already gone through 100 40mm chipboard screws, and will nee another 100 to finish,.
I will do some Pics soon.

Nice set up. i have a similar 3 x 3 shed full of stuff which needs a clean out and i wanted to turn it into a working shed but was worried about the noise - I LOVE my router...I work on my verandah when i get time and the weather god allows which is often not at the same time. Does the metal shed amplify any machinery sound or is there little difference? i really dont want the neighbours visiting me with pitchforks and burning torches and i'd really love to know what you have found in this regard..

All empty spaces amplify noise, but I wear ear protection, if the shed is not on their back door or beside the lounge room , you should be right, the trick is sharp cutters and light cuts .
I'm on a 609sq mt block and my back yard is 12 x 15 mt and the shed is on the back boundary..

609 m² in Queensland? Thought Queensland was like Texas....everything big
Must be difficult with neighbours so close....hope the noise problems aren't a problem for you If you do have good neighbours and the noise ( of course it is only very low volume noise) doesn't worry them then you're on a winner. Look forward to the multiplication of the shed

Neighbors all OK, no complaints so far, but then I don't start until after 8am and finish by 5pm, as I am also chief cook & bottle washer
Well I have brought 20 lengths of 70x35 pine , and used 16 to build the 2 benches so far, the small bench us 1800 x 600 x 950ht , and the large one is 2400x600x950ht, and I still need another 8 studs to finish
the tops are from 1200x800x20mm chip board, and I am thinking of putting 2 layers on the tops
I have put the 2 benches into the shed, so I can start getting it reorganized, and I will then look at the last 2 small benches I need to complete the build, and get the shed a little more sorted.

Looking good Steve. 'Course you could always move into the 'spare' spot beside the boat...lots more room there.
2 x 20mm for tops sounds good, less possibility of movement thn just 20mm. Maybe another crossmember or two might be an idea also to keept the top more rigid.

Scribbly Gum has provided the classic layout used in the mining industry, with dongas either side of a verandah area where everyone sits. Usually a pretty good breezeway if done properly

I would love to have the workshop near the boat , but the dust would be everywhere, and I will be washing the boat before I go out as well as when I get back,
also the boat is under the house 1.6Mt of head ht , I'm 1.8Mt tall, and have to do a quasimodo act to work under there.
I am going to put 1/2 sheets on the backs of the benches , that will stop any racking , and yes I would like another shed on the other side but cannot afford it for a while.

Some progress has been made ,I GOT AROUNDTUIT !!!.
The new benches are done, and in position, plus a set of shelves in the corner close to the lathe , handy for all those finishing bits&pieces.
A set of draws from the old benches has been recycled into a tool table beside the Lathe, with extra storage.
I still have to do the finial layout for the power and lights , also finish the cabinet the Grinder is sitting on .
BUT THIS IS A GREAT IMPROVEMENT on what I had before.

Hello, I am a new bloke to this forum.I live and work in Sumbawa Indonesia and I wish to construct a carport the same width as my house, the layout would be 11 meters long x 5 meters wide, how much fall should I have on the roof? does it matter if the fall goes the opposite to the roof on the house?
Cheers

Dave
I don't think that you need too much fall, 75-100mm would be more than enough, and I would keep the fall away from the house,
How about posting a PIC of the house so we can see what you are working with .
