Hi all & Mrs B,
I acquired some industrial vinyl flooring and thought it would go well on the bench tops. and I changed the front sunshade which was showing signs of falling apart
Also a pic of a couple of current projects, ( more of them in the other streams.

you should see the STASH OUT SIDE
yes I am so unorganized that i had to do something to fix it.
so I can now have a machine bench at the rear for the Band saw, & Drill press, and a full bench at the side for working on projects and scroll saw, without getting blocked in.
It is working , I still have to do a little more with lights and power points, and build a dust extractor system. I am looking at a cyclone bucket system in the library which will work with my old Vac.

How on earth you fit all inside a 3 x 3 shed and STILL have room to move around and work inside as well, beggars belief.
So much going on; you must be a masterful organiser, want that I could be also...I'm totally unorganised most of the time.
Give us more pics, maybe some clues about organising things will help me and others like me.

The idea behind the organization, was to maximize the space which is limited and to utilize the space for maximum productivity.
I am contemplating adding a shelf under all the benches , to increase storage ,however then things get forgotten at the back of lower shelves.
Lighting is still an issue which I am addressing, especially around the Band Saw & Drill,.
Overall it has worked out well.
The benches start at the entrance door , with the grinder , go along the back wall and side wall and I have a small set of draws by the lathe which also serve as a tool bench for the lathe.
All benches the bottom shelf is 150mm above the floor this means you can stand at the bench without your feet hitting the bottom rails.

You weren't ever a stoker in the navy or even a submariner by any chance Jeff ? The only people I know that can work (even though by necessity rather than choice) are the below decks men on ships and subs !!
You must find it difficult at the best, and you are to be applauded for your efforts clap2:in making the most of what is literally not much more than the size of two dunnies!Last edited by wun4us; 1st November 2011 at 07:49 PM. Reason: spellcheck
