    Default Gecko's in my shed...

I am trying to get my shed organized and I have noticed a lot of gecko poop on my tools and electronics. I have speakers in the shed and they are sitting on top of them and crapping on them. I was trying to come up with some way to protect them. I live in Queensland so I know that Geckos are going to be around. Any ideas on how I can hang my speaker to keep the Geckos off them? I will start using old sheets to cover my equipment but have not come up with anyway to protect my Sonos speakers in the shed.

Any idea will be greatly appreciated.
    rsgooch!

As a musician, I have always considered s#*t found on my speakers to be a direct indication of my audience appeal.
On a more serious note, a LED light (cheap to run) should solve your problem. Geckos like dark places.

I've managed to keep my shed/ garage mostly pest free. I do have a small LED flood light that I leave on.

On Saturday morning, for the first time, I did find something that may have been left behind by a larger lizard, the brown part was around 15mm long:

    Any ideas?

I've read petroleum jelly works as a barrier that will keep Geckos off security device motion detectors.

    It's Vicks Vaporub for that.
A lady friend of my ex's used to collect all my Camphor Laurel shavings and put them in small mesh bags placed all through her house and got rid of them.

Hi all, Mothballs work for me both in the house and workshop ( er sorry-garage) all you have to do is get used to the odour yourself. Cheers and keep on sniffing. Brian.

Would a plastic / rubber toy snake have any effect on the little critters?

Weeeellll I dunno but if shed speaker maybe a bit of 3 ply slightly oversize blue tacked to the top might keep the actual speaker boxes clean - or do you get poo on the sides as well? If so cage them up with flywire?

Do not get anything along the side the tops are usually where they are. I was thinking of encasing them in some 6-9mm plywood the attach the box to the wall via a stand off of some kind. I have some stand offs from some Bose speakers I used to have in the house. At least then they would have to work to reach them and protect the actual speaker case. Thanks for the input, really appreciate it.

Thanks for light recommendation. Since it is my shed I listen to what I like! As I am not musician I always found musicians opinions to be overrated!

Not sure but it would for sure keep my wife out of the shed. She is extremely afraid of snakes even fake ones. She can't even watch them on tv. Your idea could have some merit!
