Nice - I like it.
Good to see you have allowed for a bit of expansion, unlike mine.
I have 2 breaker boxes - the box in the old part of the shed has 2 breakers on it but its in a really awkward place.
While I was adding some circuits I installed a V/I meter on the Input line
This is useful for a number of things like monitoring mains V, currents used by machines, and telling me if I have left something on that shouldn't be running when I leave the shed.

Thanks....i guess we will never have enough circuits available. Good idea re the meter!
When i used my 6040 to make brackets for the power points i noticed its got a problem, there is some movement....it would either be missing steps or a mechanical issue. Its really a bad time for this to happen. It would be the first issue with it in over five years of use:(
Hope you get the 6040 sorted out soon. Nice work on the shed and electrics:2tsup:

Spent some time on the 6040.....looks like it's sorted now. Cost a bit of time and $10:)
What was the problem, hopefully not the nut holding the switch??
Glad to hear you've got it sorted out, and a cheap fix too.

:) the breakout board was faulty. I had a spare one lying around..... time will tell if this low cost board will be okay.
This was again a good reminder to make sure that the electrical equipment we use are safe and in good working order. Earthing is so important!!
Damage to my cnc controller was caused by a faulty extension lead...
If anyone would like to know what the breakout board is, its the board that interfaces the pc to the stepper drivers and i/o.
The board on the bottom right hand corner:)

Made brackets to fit blinds in the shed today....happy the cnc is working properly again. It makes the job so much easier:)

We will be back from holiday this weekend. I can’t wait to continue working on the shed......
Safely back home, we got some inspiration in Europe re designs. Can't wait to get the shop completed and start carving:)
I have been trying to tidy up the shed....finding it hard to pack all my stuff neatly away. I think it's time to make a decent work bench with storage racks.
Thinking of making the frame from 50 x 50 tubing, not sure about the size, design etc.......any suggestions would be appreciated:)
If you make the frame out of tubing are you going to incorporate some draws under the bench or just shelves?
Personally my preference for the top would be in the range of 90 - 100mm thick. Then with the legs and frame being similar thickness or just a tad thinner. It will be a chunky bench and not easily moveable. Then I would look at having draws under the bench.
