Wow...its hard to make a work bench when you don't have a work bench to make it on :) I started cutting and welding the 50mm tubing together.....not to the standard that id like to but i guess it would be okay for a bench

A bit of progress on the bench...... a couple of sections missing and have to fix my terrible welding:)

Careful...you're getting burn marks on the carpet
Just an old carpet....no worries:)
Finally the welding of the work bench is finished. Next time i'll order 2 mm thick non galv tubing....:)

I have decided on a 2100 x 900 x 30mm laminated pine sheet for the top. The additional tubing i added to the top part of the frame should help support this 30mm timber/I hope:)
Thinking of installing four mdf doors in front and four at the back....closing up the sides. This would give me lots of enclosed storage space
Had time to work on the bench......finished painting and installed brackets to mount the timber.

Looks like a nice base for a CNC router:D.

Getting there :2tsup:
I looked at those laminated sheets recently.I thought they were pretty good value
A little more progress.....with such limited spare time atm and my lack of experience, progress is painfully slow:)
