Thanks it didn't look that way in the previous photo - what the white air flow cabinet thingo behind the vice in the latest photo - looks like some kind of a down draft hood?
does it vent outside the shed?

Bob, it a dehydrator i made for drying meat and sausages.....it's something i grew up with in South Africa. It was a nice little project making this box. Uses a microcontroller that controls the temperature and draught....

    Yster!

Rather fancy for droëwors and biltong, but I suppose it limits the spoiled batches... And no one wants that!

Not much progress....since the work bench has become use able i have been doing other half done jobs. Most likely the most expensive addition to my shed will be the bigger and hopefully better cnc router. The design is not yet finalized but i have managed to make good progress on the control panel.....up to the point where the stepper motors are running great. The new little ac drive i purchased for the spindle motor is a low cost, locally supplied unit. I tested it at work and i must say it's a great little drive, however i am not sure if a 0.75Kw spindle motor would be the best for this build...

Hi Kryn.....750mm x 1200mm. Yes those extrusions are very solid, those few bits of extrusion weigh over 100Kg

Is that bed size or a sheet that can be worked?

That is the bed size.... I was going to go larger but cost was a big problem. Those extrusions are very expensive

That's a nice tidy looking panel, you've done well to fit it all in! What is the device top right that isn't connected yet? I figure it will be connected to the main feed into the panel, but what device is it. Iv'e legitimately never seen one before and I spend most days with my head in panels!

Thanks....it's the panel fan. I might remove the back plate again so i will only connect it when i am sure everything is drilled and sorted on the back plate

Managed to machine one of the six brackets for the machine's adjustable feet. Hopefully i will be able to machine all of my new machine's aluminium parts on the small cnc...
When this machine is complete i plan to use this machine to make other precision machines for sale.....

Now that the weather is improving i will be continuing work around the shed. I have a slight amount of moisture coning in around two of the sides on the floor....will have to see how i can stop this from happening. Meantime i am making progress with the cnc router. Frame is standing on the feet and lined up. All the guideways and bearings arrived, control panel mod for the larger capacity spindle motor is underway
