good suggestion Kyrn about the barby, I have tried this and all the mates that turned up for another job I needed done just wanted to do is drink booze. Booze & tools don't match, I will get there. Even the son is to butt lazy to help me,
Most of my friends that don't drink are tool useless so it leaves me & my two friend, me ,myself & I are left to do it
constant pain is something that most people don't understand, I have had a fall yesterday after I commented on my good luck and have done in my right knee I am booking in next week for a X-ray & ultrasound on the right knee as I cant stand to long or walk and cant feel the foot as it has gone numb, I cant take any more pain killers as I live with a morphine patch to lower the back pains and take nerve deadeners to ease it as well. I cant have time off as I don't have any staff to help me and the bosses don't Know my job so I am stuffed. The plywood will have to stay where it is for a few weeks till I can stand up

Mate, I know this doesnt really help, but your not alone & some of us do understand constant pain. Had 2 ops, L5-S1, second was a fusion. Still hurts but really really helped with the leg pain from the nerve.
Constant pain tends to make a bloke a bit grumpy & from time to time others wear the brunt of that.
It takes me months to complete a project that most would do in a day or a weekend.
As for your BBQ, Dont put the grog on until the job is done.
SteveThe fact remains, that 97% of all statistics are made up, yet 87% of the population think they are real.

In the past I used to help Uni friends move. Sometimes only a few things and sometimes quite a lot.
One thing that I have found in the past when you get people to help is not to feed them until the task is done. Once you feed people it becomes harder to move as most people would eat a little more than they would normally. It's not a bad thing but something that just happens.
So either an early morning start then feed them lunch and know that people will slow down after that. Or get them to come in after 1:30pm and feed them latish dinner/BBQ.
Keep them hydrated with bottled water at the start.

Might have to take up on your offer, had the operation they found that the tear in the cartilage was 70% ripped
I don't do any thing by half lately, and had a mild heart attack on the Friday before the operation, I saw the surgeon and got another 3 weeks off work. My 2 bosses are happy the one for work & home, was told by GP that pain is going to get worse as the body is getting used to the tablets. I am not allowed to touch the ply wood, wont be till after I can work as I cant sit & watch to much to do
just thought I would update
