    Default Small shed ventilation

Hi, I built a dedicated shed for my motorcycle a while back. I would really appreciate ideas on a ventilation system preferably filtered that i can easily install. I was thinking a fan sucking air through a filter and thus creating flow and a bit of pressure...mostly to reduce condensation.

    Some ideas.

If you put enough vents in the walls low down near ground level and higher up near the roof that should be enough to vent fumes.
But remember, venting only can get the temperature down to whatever air temperature is. so if it's 40º outside it cannot get any lower inside.
Painting the walls white will help the temperature.

If you want to force vent
    1) A whirly bird and vents but this will only work as long as the wind is blowing
    2) A small solar powered fan - but putting any sort of filter media in front of it will restrict its performance.
    3) A small low powered bathroom type exhaust fan is probably your best bet.

Convection due to heat inside the shed is sufficient to spin a whirly bird if there's no wind.

The whirlybird might spin but very little air will move thru the shed if there's a filter on the intakes

Thanks guys, i looked into everything you mentioned. The issue will be dust getting in...more than usual. I am trying a couple of diy fan assemblies. Bought two 90deg pvc bends from bunnings. I will machine a bracket to hold the filter on the outside and a bracket for the panel fan on the inside.

Very practical. And you've almost got it looking like an old ship with the gigantic vents they have.

Curious if you are adding some to the other end so the air flows the length of the shed or is one an intake and the other an exhaust?

The only "open" area in this shed is around the door. So basically the two fans will slightly pressurise the shed and vent through around the door frame...

Progress, i now have power to run the fans and charge the battery. Next step is to make up and install a controller and tidy up the wiring...

that solar panel would have been busy today down your neck of the woods.

Sadly, due to the location of the shed it's getting a lot of shade during the day. I am hoping it will improve as the season changes.
