    Graeme, in this case 2" x 2" = 2"

    Here's one I made ...

Not to forget that these dovetail guides also act as a saddle square ...

It was more a dig at the imperial measurements [emoji849].

    Oh!

    2" x 2" = 645.16 mm2

Don't worry; this metric stuff is just a passing fad.

We're in the country too, just outside of Macksville. It was one of the last houses in town on the way out to our place, just got to be in the right place at the right time I guess.

Some progress has actually been made in the last few days,
I might do a back story later, as that will make more sense an put the pictures in perspective.

    Some random shot’s

    Cheers Matt.

    The back story,

    Short version,

Sally and I purchased three 40 foot high cube shipping containers, about ten years ago, and had them placed on my sister’s property(13 acres) while we decided we want to eventually live our lives together.
While they were there ,we started converting them into our home, and using them as a weekender of sorts.

Then Covid-19’s and it’s S…… show happened and all the closet Dictators stepped out from behind the shadows and bla bla bla,

We were living in Melbourne at the time, so we would lock down, then I would finish all the work I couldn’t do during the Lockdowns(Self employed tradie) and then wonder what the hell was going on, this meant for around two years we couldn’t get up to our little weekender , and unfortunately we had two major water leaks in the Roof, and we had some rats get inside [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] the Saturday we eventually arrived there, we opened the front door and two little souls were heartbroken, we literally just stood there in stunned silence on the break of tears, years and S….. of money down the drain in a blink.

That day we just closed the door, an drove back too Melbourne, that was a quite trip home, with a few tissues.

So then Sally found this little town in Victoria(Wedderburn) about 12 months later I think ,so we started looking for a new home,

Sally’s requirements, it must have Town water connected, town sewer connected, an have power connected, and no more than 5 acres, ok, I’m ok with that.

I then get a call from Sally on a Thursday morning, honey we’re going too Wedderburn on the weekend leaving Friday night, I’ve booked the local hotel already, too look at a block of land with a little house on it ok.

Sally, It’s on 20 acres, no power connected, tank water only, no sewer connected(Septic tank), ie fully of the grid, but honey you said ………
    Shut up an drive ok.

We made an offer the following Monday morning,an that was excepted the following Tuesday morning we moved in 9 months after that, an couldn’t be happier.[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

So approximately 3/4 months ago I get my S… together clean out all our stuff that was wrecked from the containers, pack the rest on too the floor of the containers an have them brought across,
I now have a workshop consisting of three 40 shipping containers side by side, with the internal walls removed in place.

This will eventually have a independent roof put over the top(Hay shed).

So that brings us up too we’re we are now, I’m currently still doing a bit of construction on the inside,[emoji849][emoji849], an still moving that box from hear too there, no then I put it hear, no maybe better there, but I can finally see the light at the end of the containers, they are 12 metres long you know, that’s the model metric stuff[emoji41].

Thanks too Cklett, I’ve ripped his fantastic drill display idea off.

Thanks Cklett, I think I’ve got at least one more brace packed way,

An of course will be incorporating some of the other great suggestions in the future.

    Cheers Matt.

You're welcome. It wasn't my invention. I also just saw it somewhere.
