Vans and Crays
Hello Neil
Yes, I could ask them to move the van for a day or two, but like most tradies in WA, they could nominate a day for the earthworks, not turn up, organise for the next day, but they start late and soon enough it drags out for a week or two for the earthworks, then the laying of the slab, then the removal of the formwork. I will wait

You should be here in WA, the Best cray season I think we have ever had. I bag out in 10 minutes diving. Even Windy is bagging out

Why does willy need a new shed?
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have outgrown my current workshop. It has the following dimensions: 1800mm x 3500mm and contains the following machinary:
1. The mighty Durden Topturn series 400 lathe
2. The portable Jet VSD mini lathe
3. The 18" Jet Bandsaw
4. 2 x Grinders (Vicmarc Grinding system)
5. Triton Superjaws (for burl carving)
6. 4m worth of wood racks
7. Aaaaand lastly 1.4 cubic metres of sawdust
8. A sulu bin for sawdust
Its a bit dusty at the moment!
My wood turning area is a small cubicle within a standard double garage.
thanks,
Willy

Willy, I can help. Just send me the bowl/platter blanks in the first 2 pics.
That'll lessen the stuff to movePat

Looks a bit like my own shed; only slightly better organized and considerably less cluttered
What happened to the little Delta lathe that used to sit where the Jet is now?

No matter what size shed you've got it will NEVER be big enough. I once rented a small factory, thinking I'll never fill it, going from a 9 X 6 metre garage at home, 18 months later I'm looking at renting the on next door as well.

So where does the ~50t of choice timber from the sandpit firewood piles go? Hope you can save it before the developer burns it all

Enough Chit Chat
Well, getting things back on track now. First, I have had a bore sunk down 23 meters, next week the bore dude will come back and plumb it all in. This is for garden retic to water the 2300 sqm block
The house is currently rented out and the lady tenant had her parents staying for Christmas and they left today. The caravan was blocking the double driveway required for access to the shed area of the block, similar to a battle axe block.
Anyhoo, I spoke to the concretor, he will deliver the sand over the weekend and then commence Concreting Operations Monday / Tuesday. I would like to take some time off work to rubberneck, but am flat out.Hopefully will get down there after work for some piccies.
Then I will have to get serious about a bricky, anyone looking for work in Secret Harbour?
Cheers
Willy

Not a good start
Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen
Well things are happening, but I am not full of confidence.
1. Concretor tells me sand for the pad will be delivered Sunday. I tell him to let me a time so I can be there, sand gets dumped in the driveway. I get a phonecall from the tenant, who isn't blocked in, but she was surprised where they dumped it. They wiil have to move it, to get access to the rest of the block. Not a good start.
2. I am sure I paid for sand. I expected brickies sand, not someone else's left over fill.
I would like to keeep a closer eye on things, but can't spare the time from work
