Sure I agree at the planning stage, but I was referring to people who already have single GPOs installed.
Singles can be easily transformed into doubles but even if the GPO is a double and you want just one more so a piggy back on a low power devices is sometimes the quickest way to go. All of my lights are done this way.
I find even a double GPO is rarely enough and have replaced some double GPOs with 8 way GPOs but it's usually cheaper and easier to transform a double into multiples by using an adapter board. Almost all of my other 13, 10A double GPOs have an adapter board attached.

This one is for my electronic balances, battery charging stations, and stereo.

The 15A GPO on LHS is for the compressor, the right hand size GPO powers the DP and the circuitry for the compressor enclosure ventilation and the auto venting system for compressed air lines
