    Default New Workshop WIP, needs a little work.

    New worshop acquired today, we will be moving Tack Hama's Architecture office into the front and home above but I get a realy nice workshop area and storage yard.
    The owners are cleaning up the crap and making it habitable. It has a DA on it for a multi storey building but is on hold for quite a few years. In the mean time Whooooo.
    I will have a nice big new door put in the back wall next to the windows and then in I go. Around two weeks with a bit of luck. Flat floors, high ceilings, 3 phase power, storage inside and out. Room for trailers, slabs of timber and more. TH will move in later on once some reno work is done out the front in the home area and her office area. Looks pretty daggy now but will scrub up a treat. Large windows with plenty of light, one a/c unit and I have my old one to put in as well. So stay tuned for the move and the set up. ... Hmm 3ph now I can look at a 20" thicknesser and a nice big bandsaw etc etc did I mention WHHHHOOOOOO.

    And when you've got the energy to burn there's a skate ramp too.

    DA = Developement Application. I think they are supposed to only be valid for 12 months, so when the land owners want to start work, they will have to go back to the local council & start all over again, with any new conditions that have come in since the first application.

    TH = Tack Hammer?

    About time mate.
    If anyone was to visit Claw's current workshop they would be astounded at the lack of space considering the quality of the pieces that leave there.
    TH is Tack Hama. The better half and forum member.

    Hi Guys yes, TH the other half and yes DA is a Development Application, here they are good for 5 years but this one has already been in for 3 and a lot has changed. Banks arn't lending for this sort of project at the moment and the consortium type group has broken up to some extent I believe so it all adds up to adequate time for us to have this for a while before building owe own large workshop and complex. Well thats the plan.
    Hell here I could swing a cat in both hands and not hit anything
    We are right on Newcastle Harbour and we get cruise ships docking pretty close about once a month. May have tostart making some smaller pieces they can pick while they're here. In my own image

    Hey Mark thats brilliant love the wheelchair friendly play ground too. I wonder if I can do a loop round the light.

    Harbour location, cruise ships might have to spread the word in my old field to some mates a new tourista spot.

    One thing I like now is the gallery seating for the WiP sessions damn Nick keeps spreading out with all those ANZACS and cakes I can't see past him.

    I knew you'd pick up on the ramps, thrill seeker. The other one fell through Ray so we went to this one which I think is better. Great rent, more room, better building.

    No just an old warehouse near Wickham railway station. So, railway station 20m, Ncle Harbour 250m, West end shoping centre 500m, coffee shop 60m, new bakery 200m, Mackas 600m, fish co-op 600m (I love fish) so very central. Yep I'll post the workshop warming Bob, no problem. Lock up parking for both our cars.

    That's the station that I got off when I took the train to Newcastle. Then walked toward Hunter, now at night I had no idea where I was heading to. Just by shear luck that I found the hotel that we were staying.
