I think it would be interesting to have a look at the different layouts we turners have, from the humble Jet Mini by the back door (g'day Eliza) to the mega shed with multiple Vicmarcs (hi Jefferson).
My "shed" is a double garage which I share with LOML, she has her 1/2 for her soapmaking and storing whelping boxes and dog crates for her dog breeding interests.
The first two pics show the general outlay as viewed from the roller door. Photo 3 shows the main work area with grinder close by. Notice the pathetically small work bench, it used to be much bigger but I cut it in half to fit the car in (silly me). Photos 4 & 5 show my storage area for blanks and WIP's, my chainsaw is in the box next to the red esky. #6 is my pride & joy a Jet 1642.
Tool storage. Since I no longer work as a fitter/turner/service engineer I put my 7 drawer tooltrolley to a better use.
Top drawer, my P&N chisels I scored on eBay.
Second drawer, Rolly Munroe hollower, home made Ci1 rougher, Oland tool and other assorted Ally handled tools.
Third drawer, assorted tools I've picked up at auctions, McJing eBay etc.
Fourth drawer, odds & sods.
Fifth drawer, Forstner bits, sanders, drill bits.
Sixth drawer, Chucks & jaws.
Seventh drawer, drills, impact driver and die grinder.
O.K., I've shown you mine, now let's see yours :D.
