Insurance!!!!
I have locked in my fireproof? safe some photos of my little 3 x 3 shed because no one would believe me when I tell them how much the machinery and tools are worth. With photos I have proof if anything nasty happens. Has anyone else thought to do that? I had photos of my wifes jewellery for insurance purposes why not the shed?

I have photos of every last tool and stack of material, etc, that I have, and I update this annually. If you do the sums, the little bits add up to far more than the big bits. I then send a copy off to the insurer on CD, plus keep an extra copy at my son's house in case my place burns down. Digital cameras are great for this.
Been through several robberies and one fire and I know from experience that doing this annually is the easy way. Without a visual record I could never remember everything that I need to claim or readily justify. The first robbery taught me that, I was remembering things years after the claim was closed.

Yep, most things have a place, usually on the bench(s) or leaning up against them
I'm still finding places to store some of it happily. Some of that Jarrah we got is still sorted neatly on the bench on the left of the door. I'm not game to count how many semi finished projects are in The Shed. At least a couple Trouble is I don't get enough time out there
There's nothing wrong with a bed in the shed! somewhere to have a kip between thinking of a project and starting it
Hmm bed in the shed, somewhere for the bananas in pyjamas to have a kip

Thanks everyone for the fantastic response to my original post. I expected maybe 10 or 12 replies but this is incredible, I guess there are a lot of voyeurs/exhibitionists out there . I know this isn't a competition, but the shed that has impressed me the most so far would have to be Brown Dog's, excellent layout IMHO. Just how big is that shed Brownie?
One person we haven't heard from yet is Cliff, maybe in his case it would be "show us ya shedS".
Thanks Watson for your help early on, it's definitely been worth it .To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional

After buying a dust extractor off ebay in 2005 I finally got around to buying the necessary accessories to turn it into a functioning unit. I think if it wasn't for the Melbourne Open Day last weekend the dusty would still be getting covered in dust, not collecting dust . I only have to decide where to put the floor sweep unit and hook it up and it's all finished.

Check out this massive set up
My tablesaw is on the patio because it won't fit in the container

Jack, I thought about getting a container dropped over the fence before the block of land behind us was built on, but couldn't afford it at the time. Too late now, surrounded on all sides by houses . I bet it gets pretty hot in there during summer, is condensation a problem?

It gets very hot in there
We are only in Longreach for 1 year so it is only a temporary thing.
We have been here 2 months and I haven't noticed any condensation so far."There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."
