Default A day at Franks Place...!

    Hi everyone,

Well, I knew Frank could turn/carve, I didn't know he could cook too!
Thanks mate, the meal was a winner.
I'm grateful for Frank's hospitality, and about his shed...well, I want it.
In regards to Frank's guests, and respected forumates, you guys are good fun, and the right people to spend a rainy day with.
My big thank you, to everyone that made some timber purchases, thanks also Harry72, for bringing some timber and taking the pics.
Once again Frank, my gratitude for allowing me to store the trailer (all timbers), in your garage, away from the rain and easy for to people to have a look. I also appreciated you allowing me to provide a few minutes of entertainment, with the introduction of my surprise draw(s). Thanks for been patient with me, I'm a bit out of practise, a long time has passed since I was on one of these gatherings, in a active position, if you know what I mean!.
I hope everyone got something from my "goodies pile" and didn't mind with my "overload" of temptation timbers. It wasn't a joke when I said, I got lots of it.
I will be looking forward to, first guys, see some pieces done, out of timbers taken home, and second, I will be looking forward to see some of you, maybe together or not, up to this neck of my woods (Mt.Compass) for a visit and get those trailers full, on George's home visit special prices, huh??

Well, time for me to shut up, go and get some rest.

I big thank you to all of todays Frank shed meet 20,July 2008, Forum members and participants.

Just some pics of handling realy big stuff
    Cheers

Now I know why I missed you Zenwood. Sorry to hear you are crook. Get well soon mate. What about Studley, what's your excuse mate.
Thanks Frank for your extreme hospitality and making me jealous about having a big shed. I've never met anyone before with a shed equipped like Jamie's Kitchen; wall oven, set of hot plates, microwave, fridge. I think the only thing missing was the sink or did I miss that.
Thanks to Harry and George for going to the trouble of bringing so much timber to just give away. For a short while I wished I was interested in wood turning!!! But I did come away with a few pieces that should make a nice box.
Thanks to the other guys and gal for your company.

Sorry to take the mick(y) out of you, Harry72 but Mick(m2c1Iw) was also a lurgi apology, the one you missed is Rat52.

And the lone representative of Woodworkers SA's name is Frank, not Mick. The way they are resisting computerisation, I wonder whether we will ever manage to rope them in...

All in all, though, the attendance was perfect for me, enough to have fun without stressful hosting. We should do this more often!

And so you do not feel left out, here is your mug shot (from the previous meet):

    Hi everyone,

I agree with Frank, was a easy & fun get together, not only for the host but also for the guests. I'm pretty certain that the presence of those expected but that couldn't make it, wouldn't change this fact, and I would have enjoyed to meet some more forumates but on the other hand, too big of a gathering (lots & lots of people) does scares me a bit (maybe some bad experiences), hard to control when alcohol & opposite "temperaments/arguments" are involved, ahahahah, and off-course... lumps of wood!. Just kidding...!

Was my intention to take some pics also but, in no time I was in the land of the "woodmadness" with the "goodies" exposed in the trailer, floor, cabinet, on top of anything I could get my hands on, etc., etc., and then the smell of that roast pork and home made bread done the rest...! Was a shame that Harry in one of his many trips to the garage, didn't have the camera with him but I have no one else to blame than myself for not doing what I had planed to do (take plenty of pics of everything...!), so I apologise to everyone (mainly to those that weren't there, for not being able to show any "evidence" of the trailer load. (I could kick myself, yeah).

    Cheers
