    Default WWW Show

I plan to be there on the Sunday. Have to work on Saturday so hopefully a few bargains to be had on the last day of the show. I too was wondering about the sale of foilies on the day.

Tom and I won't be able to make it till Sunday:eek: (but we'll be there all day! ). We've got a wedding to go to on Saturday...

However, since I work so close to the RNA showgrounds, I did happen to duck down quickly in my lunch hour and have a quick race around. There were so many school kids I was hard pressed getting a look at anything! Have to wait till Sunday ... Tom is on 040 165 9274 and I'm on 041 345 9758. Hope to see you there!

    Cheers
    Dan

Sorry guys, here's hoping I can make it Sunday, at least.

Woe is me! finished work today at 2pm and leave to go north for a few days at 12 tomorrow Frustratingly, leaves almost enough time to queue at the door and run around then run out, but not quite. They certainly keep gentleman's hours:mad:

I had the best time at the show. There's lots I forgot to look at but at least I made it this year.

I picked up my next two month's supply of Hard Shellac, some little sharpening stones, a box lock, a few little things from the turning clubs to support them, a wooden scoop for my wooden spoon collection, some aus cedar from Mal at Boutique, some lovely myrtle, a bundle of scraps of different woods, some I've never heard of at all - they will be fun to play with and a stack of catalogues for a friend.

I caught up with Soundman, Kunchy, Just George, Dan & Tom and U, Beaut and , the axe-wielding sweetheart (It worked, I bought 2 bottles instead of one )

Tom from Sturt's School of Woodworking spotted me walking along with my bundle of timber and just had to try to talk me into going to his School - I was tempted, Very tempted

Met Chris Vesper, drooled over his tools. Met Roger Griffins, got his autograph - damm, should have taken my book of boxes and got him to autograph his photo as well

Delivered some sheoak to Major Panic. Thank you for the life-saving coffee and biscuits. Life-saving in two ways, one being restorative after an exhausting but exhilarating day and I think you may have saved me from getting caught in a bad accident at Karina Downs. So a big Thank You!!

It was a pretty non-eventful trip home after the stop/start of getting past the accident scene, but the line-up of traffic coming into Brisbane was huge!!!! It went for about 3-5 kms, due to another earlier accidental exactly opposite the one I missed - yep - perhaps rubberneckers caused the second accident.

Then, just as I was entering the home straight, my nose decided to bleed.

Anyway, after dealing with all that, I made it home by 7pm exactly. What a great day out!!!!

    cheers

    Talking My Day

    Hi Everyone,

Finally made it on Sunday after my Saturday morning appointment rang long

Got to catch up with Soundman and Ruffly and have some of Soundman's chocolate cake

Got to meet Neil and at the U-Beaut stand and got some great restoring advice off Neil (which also meant purchasing some product )

My other big spend of the day was a purchase of a Bandsaw from Gary Pye which I'll pick up this weekend (Soundman, I couldn't quite stretch to the 17" )

Anyways thats my short summary of the day, it was great to see some old faces and to meet some new forumites.

    Cheers,
    Krunchy.

Yep I had a great time on Sunday at the show. Finally met Neil and and had the chance to put a couple of faces to the names we see so much. Got a few good bargains from the show as well. I'm now thinking about a gifkins jig after meeting Roger and seeing it in action
