Soon to need a psych exam to figure out why you did it. It would take a very good job and a shotgun to make me live in and work in Sydney again. Tony, did you seek professional help before you made this decision?

I did. I tried to hire some professionals to help me with a job but they said hitting the Comm Bank head office was just too big a risk. So back to the daily grind.
I'm really liking this job so far. Next week I go in to pick up the new car, phone and uniforms and then we all head to the pub for the afternoon to watch the Melbourne Cup. I'm assuming we will be doing this every week, but with a different sporting event obviously
Those were the droids I was looking for.

Gee's I'd better pull the finger out and do some work on walking sticks if you're moving closer. I agree dumb move wish we had never moved back from Tamworth should have headed north across boarder instead or east to coast.

The up side is I can now look at some possible leccy type matters for you to play with

Gents, I won't be making it this time.

All well on the home front, just work is expecting me to work, not sit around semi comatose from a big day of driving and yacking.

FenceFurniture; You had me down as a confirmed and up until just now can I say that I am confirmed at attending.

I will also bring my own lunch and fluids, although I suspect that I might be consuming most of it on the train.

    Default Weather forecast

    Looking good:

    20°
Partly cloudy. Slight (30%) chance of a shower, most likely in the evening. Light winds.

    http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/forecasts/katoomba.shtml

That's an improvement on the forecast 2 days ago where they were saying 16° and 40% chance of a shower during the arvo.

Now 16° is just fine by me, but all you Sydney girls would be a bit chilly.

Brett said it would be OK to bring along a saw or two. As some of you may know I have picked up a couple over the last few months. Most of these two are users and my intention is that they can be tried. These two are for curiosity's sake only:

A couple of saws are for sale: A couple from the 19th century, a couple of large tenon rip saws and a couple of other tenon saws, a Disston D5 crosscut and an Abbeydale rip (made by Tyzack):

I also have a couple that I probably won't have time to finish:

Let me know if there is anything you are chasing (particular ppi etc) and I will try to bring it along. No obligation of course. I was getting these saws ready for Ebay, but it occured that even if nobody was in the market you might like to just look or even try a couple.

Talking such things, a couple have a little age on them. C Bishop No.1 (made by Disston) is 1865 - 1876 and the Disston No.8 early 1850s. Since I cleaned up the medallion, this is a little earlier (but not by much) than my previous estimate.

Oh we will be auctioning off a couple with no reserve starting at a dollar. Could be a couple of bargains there!

    Regards
    Paul

Chris, I'm sure he's referring to the other Sydney girls. I haven't had time to buy a skirt or anything.(edit: That's not entirely true. I bought three school tunics but not in my size ) Signed the lease today, enrolled the daughter at school then went for a swim at Dee Why beach. I think I'm going to like it here.
