My BIL in Katoomba has just given me a Chinese wooden plane (the grandfather of Terry Gordon's gems), some braces, bits and clamps to GIVE AWAY at the BMGTG ..... it doesn't get better than that!

Actually Fletty, it does. John (Orraloon) is giving a performance on his new Cigar Box Guitar.
Oh and huzzah for the BIL. Top bloke. Is he coming to the GTG? We would never turn away anyone bearing gifts. Not even the Ancient Greeks.
I'm actually after a brace and bits. We might have to hold a raffle.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

Way to go Orraloon! Big Stan started the tradition by playing and singing the 'Woodshow Blues' at the end of SWWW on his plank guitar and it is worth stay back for, SO we need a blues song for John to close the KGTG2015...

how about ( to the tune of house of the rising Sun)

there is a house in Kat-oom-bah
    they call the FF deck
    with Lola near
    and a fresh cold beer
it is the best by heck?

with one foot on the high deck
and the other foot on the ground
    it is I sigh
    a step too high
    With hernias all around

so l'm going back to the FF deck
    to find my Chinese plane
    is Christos here?
    he's left his beer
    before heading off by train

    etc.

Oh my goodness me, All we need now is someone to bring a boat to tie up a the FF Wharf.....

And it'll be not the ballad that Alan penned but a ship full of drunken sailors on the dance floor....

Actually, I could rig up a plank off the side of the deck rather easily. Six quick screws to anchor about a metre of it on the deck, etc.....

No worries, but I'll need some instruction on how to use it.

Unless you want to do a selfie on the plank? Could be tricky when blindfolded.
