Sorry I have not posted these pics before but I have been really busy... the Hands On Expo was the Second show I have attended as an exhibitor... the first was the Melbourne Working with Wood Show earlier this year... I must say that going to a show and being part of a show are such different experiences.
Having attended many woodworking shows and expos over the years I have seen great changes..some good some not..
But being part of the expo was for me a very worthwhile experience.. and while the numbers were down [ due to many factors, not all of which were avoidable] I feel that overall, the people attending both as exhibitors and visitors would have found this show to be very much hands on... at the stand I was demonstrating on... Gregory's Machinery with the Torque Work Centre... every one was encouraged to have a go to see how simple the machine was and how easy to operate.... at other exhibits I went to this was also the go... have a go, see what you think. before you buy...As you can see from the pics the show was very well laid out and while the main emphasis was on woodwork there was still a lot other exhibits all centered around things you can do in your shed.
