    Thumbs up Latrobe Valley Woodies Open Day

    Latrobe Valley Woodies are having their third annual Combined Clubs Open Day on Saturday November 17th from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Gippsland Heritage Park Moe, a great place to visit. Come as a club, a group or on your own if you wish. Bring your special tool,( lathe, scroll saw, etc.) we will supply a stand and you just have to do your thing for a while. Watch and learn from someone else or just hang around and have a good yarn. Have you got something to sell or swap, bring it along. Food and drink are available. General public are most welcome.

    Default Shameless bump for Laurie.

    CLUB’S OPEN DAY.

    Hello woodies all over.

    Only a short time before our open day and we are hoping to meet and greet woodies, families and friends from all over which is the main intent of the day.

    We will have members from the International Wood Collectors in attendance providing advice, identification and information on what you always wanted to know.

    They will also have a slabbing machine on site that you can get those odd pieces you have slabbed to suit.

    We have a chainsaw carver on site showing how it is done. Demonstrations by members from various clubs, triton and organoil will be ongoing and timber sales and accessories will be available.

    An interesting day for everyone!

    Have a go yourself, there will plenty on hand to show you the safe way.
