Nah! they just lifted the "tide line" a bit

Just as well all those bits 'n bobs are suitably housed - well above any incumbent water line

Well now that i have levered Jools away from her cousin's computer, and i have a chance to post, let me say this has been a fabulous weekend!!!

Gumby, thanks for inviting jools and me down for lunch on friday. It was a pleasure to meet you, Stuart Lees and DPB.

, Where do i start? You went out of your way to pick us up, take Jools to her comm games training and me to your workshop. I consider it a great privelige to have spent the day with you receiving one on one turning tuition from such an accomplished craftsman and a great teacher. if i was as gifted a student as you are a teacher, i may have learned more on the day. Thanks also for taking me to the bbq at sturdee's then back home. I also feel flattered that you thought enough of jols and me to detour via your home to introduce us to your lovely wife. , you are one of natures true gentlemen and i am still getting over how many things in our background and attitudes that we have in common. You would make a great drinking partner except you dont drink.

Sturdee, thanks to you and especially Elaine for organising last nights bbq. it was great to meet you in person as well as auld bassoon, ozwinner and mrs winner and waldo.

Groggy, thanks for a relaxing and educational morning. It was great to sit in your shed and experiment with your handplane collection and check out your other toys this morning. It wasnt such a full-on day as the previous two and that was just what i needed today.

I am still in awe as to how everyone has gone out of their way to help us and i thank everyone, greenies are on their way around as soon as they become available..

I thought you might have dropped in to arrest me on the weekend Dan. The additional water was caused this time and last year by a neighbour who after building a new house has not fixed up his backyard. We now get all his water and clay.:mad: :mad: :mad:

I shouted some threatening and rude words towards his house. Kind words didn't resolve the problem 12 months ago.

Thanks for the offer of looking after the planes but the snakes will need TLC also when I am in gaol for getting our neighbours attention.:eek:

The shavings clogged up the washing machine Al, when Meg was spin drying all the towels we used to mop up.

Anyway, I am hijacking this thread and becoming hot under the collar again.

It looks like Sturdee had a bit of rain too, his shoes look like they are stuck to the wall at the high water mark.

They are there to remind me of my humble dutch background and to remind me of the ever present threat of flooding. Don't forget Rob that the place where I was born and grew up was a whole NINE metres below sea level.

Maybe a mini dyke around your workshop is needed.
