I and Sue would like to say a big thanks to Wood Nut/Paul for the invite then to Hunter Woodies and the fellows gals and wives who put on a tremendous day from start to finish by having Rolly.
Rolly still came although his original plans had changed.
From 9am to close enough to 5pm I was glued to my seat watching him. His work with his well designed tools, their uses and his artistic talent.

The lunch spread was to say the least outstanding not an unhealthy thing in sight.........except for the cake.

Paul was like a Jack in the box all day long couldn't sit still for 5mins

There were fellows from all over attended and woman.

I would like to thank the club for their organisation of the event.
I enjoyed it immensly. Picked up a few great tips.
Rolly is a great presenter and is prepared to listen to and answer questions without being too technical (unless you need to go there).

My thanks too to the ladies and gents for lunch. Excellent. Well done.

What was wrong with the cake? It was FRUIT cake!

I recently became eligible for a Seniors Card, and gave it a try-out last Saturday by travelling from the Shire to Broadmeadow to see Rolly's demo.
With a bit of help from Dennis from the Central Coast Woodturners we found our way in to the fabulous premises of the Woodturners of the Hunter Valley.
I got tremendous value for my $2.50 (plus the entry fee), including a very interesting demo of specialised turning tools by their inventor, Rolly Munro. I had seen the tools used some time ago, but in the hands of a master, they were really put through their paces.
Many thanks to Paul (Wood Nut) for organising the day, plus his dedication to nursing an un co-operative video camera, and to the catering committee who excelled themselves with a great lunch.
Paul (Wood Nut) tells me a new camera will be on hand for 's demo at the Woodturners of the Hunter the first weekend in June (1st and 2nd).

It was great to have a chat with Wheelinround (Ray) over lunch, especially the chat about GTHO Falcons and their value when new of about $6,000. We should have bought a couple each back in the '70's for our superannuation. We'd be rich now, seeing they can sell for upwards of $600,000 these days.

Great shots Alan must have been a long train trip home almost a week or was it film you had to get developed.

I didn't see that parked in car park.

About a 4-1/2 hour trip back, then been busy for the last few days.
The GT Falcon was at a show and shine at Kurnell a couple of years ago. I have quite a collection of happy snaps of old and interesting cars, but certainly don't own anything interesting these days.
