Sorry I will not be able to make it. However I can drop off some Paulownia samples for your guests to 'play' with on Friday. You can email me details of your address to [email protected] or I'll phone if you give me the number.

I only saw this thread yesterday. Got all excited at the chance of meeting some of my imaginary friends - even at short notice. Shame is that we have things on this Sunday already. Oh well, maybe next time. Guess I should actually keep an eye on this part of the forum. Have a good time all.

The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Ok down to real numbers. Who's bringing SWMBO or HWMBO (for our forumettes ), also kids? Just remember I've been away, and well, it is a house of blokes. They are welcome to join in, lounge around the pool, or clean the house

I've got a few boards, dressed and undressed to look/play with - thanks Whitewood. Also a slice from the middle of the tree, you'll just have to see what is so special about that, very interesting

Sounds like tomorrow will be a bit cooler thankfully! SWMBO will probably opt for the pool rather than volunteering for house work .

So Neil, you want me to bring the mill - okay - you have saw and bar and chain and rail ??

By the way it will be a hot day and I don't plan on spending it attached to a mill

I will bring along the domino just incase anyone is interested and there is a quiet moment that needs the sound of an electric motor humming along at 8000 revs to make us all happy.
    Cheers

Weisyboy is bringing his saw and mill, so I don't think you need to bring yours anymore. I also have my saw/bars/chain/oil as back-up, and a half finished expandable mill (but should work if need be - aux oiler not finished though) and old ladder for rails.

Sounds like a good idea. My lathe is available for the woodturning demos, but since my shop is pretty small, only 4-5 at a time could watch. It's good to have something else to look at.

No - they find us a boring lot

SWMBO recons all wood is firewood - it only becomes interesting once it is made into something.

I think they have planned an outing with a girlfriend.

    Teejay.

Woodies are meant to be boring, that is why we value a drill press.
Tell them it was my first BBQ get together. I was on my best behaviour. Did not want to be shown the door on my first visit.

Being good is very boring I agree, Now I know what the game plan is I can crank up the action. Besides being on the Gold Coast means that I do not have to rely on Neil for a lift home.

I am ready to rumble. Or is that boring too.
