Thanks Neil for a great day. The old faces from the last gig at Tee Jays and the new formuties who attended for the first time.

A common hobby or interest can bring so many people together that in ordinary circumstances we would never meet.

Special thanks to Carl for bringing his slab saw and log, that was a big effort and we all appreciate it. I was impressed with your demo and you have been almost forgiven by suggesting using my half empty coke can when they could not locate the water bucket when Neil was grinding the nail for the Awl.

Matthew, I had not forgotten that Lee Valley site. Thank you for that info on dovetails.

Joe and Wendy thanks for spending time explaining the sealing preparations.
My brain is on overdrive at the moment.

See you all next time. Peter ( STAR )

... and another thankyou to Neil. Like Peter we were first timers to a forum event and appreciated the friendly get together.

Neil did a marvelous job getting things organized after his unplanned trip to Melbourne. He even did a great job on the weather!

Thanks for all the show and tells. On the upside SWMBO now realizes I don't really have a lot of tools or a big shed (yet )

    Cheers Franklin and Bronwyn(Pav)

    Arrghh!! Anna's Chocolates!!!

Twas a wonderful day! Thank you Neil for inviting us to share a wonderful day together at your place. The BBQ was brilliant, the desserts to die for and I have to confess, I felt even more at home the minute I saw the chainsaw in the kitchen

    Thank you Carl!

It was great to meet up with old friends and make new ones. I loved seeing how Carl got to work and slabbed that log. I couldn't believe how easy it can be when you have the right equipment, know how to use it and have the confidence to get in and go for it. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, the food, the demos and the great company.

I forgot to bring the usb camera cord with me today, so the photos I did manage to take will be available this evening.

    cheers
    Wendy

Default Woodies on the Gold Cost.

A great day was had by all!
Many thanks to Neil for organising and cooking.
    Thanx to the desert suppliers.
Carl's demo was really worthwhile. A simple but very effective little rig to do a tough job.
Apprecisted the handmade planes that Toolinround showed us and the skew demo.
Didn't get to see the Domino effect!! ( can't afford one so not interested )
Good to put faces to names. Must attend next GTG.
