Default WWF Get together - Australia Day Weekend 2015 - Jerilderie

    G'day all,

This is terribly short notice as so much has been going on in my life of late but ....

It's finally posted ... the next Australia Day Get Together.

    Cost-Your time
    Where- My Place, JERILDERIE
    When-24, 25 & 26 Jan 2014
Why-Have some fun, chat, swap, sell, show and do some wood/metal work
Food-Last year the BBQ went non stop, there was cereal for breakfast. Most threw in a little something and there was plenty to go around.

Last year we had a great time, it was nice and casual and family friendly. Bring your kids and partner if you like.
Some stayed at my place, some came for a day and some stayed at a motel etc.

There are at least two rooms up for grabs and possibly a caravan with a twin and two singles.

I would like to think that some may like to bring a project to share or work on while here. You are welcome to bring some tools or a lathe etc.

The following link for accommodation. If you want any specific recommendations just let me know.

    So we have

Trevor aka repliconics as a definite and two maybe three others. Good start

Will do my best to get there Dave, but my back is a real issue at the moment.

Right now I am not real mobile but I may be ok by Australia Day. I was in a lift at work last week that dropped a floor, causing me great pain from the sudden stop. So far it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

See you if I make it

I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Count me in, bringing the caravan with me, waiting on Crowie to confirm if he's coming with me

Well, apparently, if I am well enough to travel my presence will be required somewhere else.

Apparently someone I hardly know is getting married that weekend.

I hope the weekend is a great success for Dave and all those who can attend

    Cheers

Trev, cant wait ... yes I should have added to the list some ring-ins. Cag and Geof are on the forum and will be here no doubt as they are also from my 'local' wood turning club. There could be a few other locals to add to the list too.

Doug. I feel your pain. I did my back in Adelaide a few weeks ago. Twisted while lifting a lathe into the hatch back. Ouch. Almost recovered now. Hope you have a speedy recovery and make it over.

Oh a few more replies since I started typing that at about 4.

Doug, you'll be missed. It goes for three days

Ray .... You parking here, at the park or free camping at the beach

Peter ... Hope that mail is a yes you are coming.

I'm gonna have to start cleaning the place up. I think that's why Raechell loves me having these do's. It makes me sort things. That will have some of you wondering when you get here lol. You'll be thinking 'man how bad was it before'

Trouble is the wedding is in Hobart so I doubt I will have time to head up even for a day trip

Its someone the girlfriend worked with in Darwin and I hardly know. Facebook should be taken offline for $h!t like this.

    Cheers

I would have loved to come up again! I really enjoyed this year's meeting. However I'll be overseas from January 22 next year. I wish you all a great weekend and lots of fun and tall stories!
I look forward to the write ups and photos and will participate vicariously from a distance.
    Cheers,
    Joe

Free camping at the beach??? Middle of NSW?rather large hike from Batemans
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .
