2HP dust extractor - Hobart
There's a seller in Hobart advertising a lathe and 2HP extractor. I would like to buy the lathe but he's unwilling to separate, and I already have a DE.
I can pay $500 for the lathe, if someone else wants the dust extractor for $200. If you can negotiate a better price with him, you are welcome to pocket the savings.

Wouldn't it worth to maybe try haggling and buy both, and then just put up the dusty for whatever you want to recover?
It's a nice looking lathe, I wouldn't want to risk missing out on it if it was me.
This youtube clip elegantly displays the finer points of how to haggle just in case you need it:

Well it is now a moot point as it appears to have been sold in the past 24 hours.
I tried bargaining, but despite it having been listed since last November he wasn’t prepared to negotiate at all. Oh well, the search continues.
