Sorry can not say Horsepower but it does have 15amp plug. No further use as we have fully installed system now.

Based on the 7.2A @240V I'd say it's a 2HP machine.
Technically it should not need a 15A plug or 15A circuit but it will still have a relatively high start up current so depending on what else is on the circuit it may still trip the breakers.

Thanks for the help there. We have always had it on a 15amp circuit but maybe it did not necessarily need it. That was how it was set up when we got it new.
