Default cheap festool set of tools in perth

    Two festool rolling trolleys with:
”large festool vac” model not specified
    of1400
    ro90
    Ag 125 diamond grinder
    ets150?
    Drill pdc 18/4
    Drill bhc 18
    Carvex jigsaw cordless

This looks like a bargain...I’d be wanting to be sure it wasn’t stolen!
Now advertised at $2500, someone has already bought the sanders

Strange, seems pretty suss at first glance anyway.

I would have thought anyone owning/selling Festool gear would be listing the model numbers for maximum price point, as well as simply providing necessary info?

And the extractor he's selling is in his mates shed?

Yeah I'm gonna go with stolen. The only other explanation I have is they inherited the gear and have no idea. But far more likely they're stolen.

I like the thinking that this is a bit suspicious, it's the most generic "for sale" I think I've ever seen for Festool kit. Folks who buy it will usually give much more details.

One can always ask for the serial number, and give the folks at Festool a call - they do maintain a register of "reported stolen" tools, and are usually happy to assist with this sort of thing.

Probably the best bet. Legitimate owners won't have a problem providing serials, thieves will disappear.

Wow! Would hate to have you guys on the jury for my criminal trial, guilty until proven innocent. Judging by the other items he has on sale, or has just sold, I'd think there's a high probability that he's a dreamer and serial spender, who has decided that it's time for a clean out. Hope he doesn't see what you've posted about him on here.

To be fair, the ad also makes it clear he's not too fussed about if or how much he sells them for!

I've never known a Festool owner to be that blase when selling such high end items!

Some of the comments in this thread are defamatory! 'To be fair' that's simply not on. What if someone sends the seller a message through Gumtree alerting him to this thread, are you prepared to go to Court to justify your statements if it comes to that? I'm pretty sure Neil wouldn't want to go.

I'm aware of the rules. From legal aid WA.

So justify this. You called the guy a thief. Don't be a knucklehead.

Pretty sure I provided another explanation and said it was likely, not a certainty.

He now has just the renovation grinder listed, I’d guess the rest sold at that price.
