Hi, I have just bought one of these Bandsaws and got it home last week, mine is mounted onto a thick piece of steel which meant I had to lay it down on the door side (didn't really want to transport it standing up for a 4 hour trip) so now I have doors to straighten.

I would be interested in what you get for your Bandsaw, mine is in similar condition might even be a little nicer inside, but more paint chips on the outside than yours and looking at your pic's mine seems to be missing a part on the Guidepost.

    Good luck with your sale.

    Cheers Nigel

Your better off stripping the top half down (cover/wheel) and even the tabletop and transporting it upright. That way you can also pick them up with an engine crane. I trailered two saws for a 4hr journey back to Brisbane from up north. Left at 5am and got back to Brisbane at around 3:30pm - was a big day!

    Hi Edawaform,

Could I trouble you for some pic's of how the rack & pinion works for the Guide Post, I do not have that on my machine and wondered if it was fitted aftermarket.

Hi mate yes Grandpa built this bit himself as it was to heavy to move up and down at his age. He said it has made it a lot easier but still heavy to shift. Hope these photos help cheers Gary

Hi Gary, Thanks for the pic's and tell your Grandad he did a great job, I thought from your original pic's it was rack & pinion, but I now see it's more like a ball screw arrangement, let me say it is too heavy at any age so I will need to do something with mine. Cheers Nigel
