Default I’m a filthy rich Bastard.

I have four or five of these boxes of file’s put secretly away.

But seriously I do not know what the seller thinks he has, but that’s more money for Jam then a Swiss banker has stolen from Germany.

Wiltshire are a contender for the best files no longer available, but even if he has placed the decimal point erroneously one place to the right and the price was $200 it would still be too much for slim taper. Might get close if they were DEST. He also has some Nicholson 4" DEST for $1200. Same story there being about ten times too much.

Looking at his other auctions, primarily for cards, I think he may be well out of his depth and hugely hopeful. I guess you can ask what you want. Getting that price is a totally different matter.

His description says "You won't find anything like this". Immediately next to the item description is a "similar items" listing of exactly the same item >10x cheaper.

I have a box of the Nicholson, all NOS.

Let's say, a bargain at $250 each. Only one per customer.

    Regards from Perth

I wish I could get that finicky little decimal point wrong on the Invoices I sent out, with out anyone noticing [emoji849][emoji849].

O don’t be so picky, it’s not really what he meant [emoji6].

Just move it one place to the left and I'm sure they won't complain.

The last decade has been really surprising for me, being a bowerbird and a hoarder I tend to loosely follow values of items that interest me, and the last 10 years or so I've found people are increasingly spending so much disposable income on collectibles, little luxury items, desirable objects, etc.

For example in 2010 some Word of Warcraft ceramic steins were released at around $100ea, I see them now selling up to $1200 or so! Same goes for gaming items, consoles, etc.

An American artist I know used to sell trading card sized embellished prints for around $20-$25, now on Ebay they go routinely for around $500-$700, sometimes close to $1k!

Quite amazing watching the market and the sales that go on.

    Fergiz

    Well spotted.

At the "buy three" rate that would be $121.41, but only for nine files. Pro rata that would be $161-88 for twelve. Of course, if four years newer and twelve files was important to you, you have to go with the two grand listing!
