    Default Henry Eckert Low Angle Jack

    Henry Eckert low angle Jack plane with huon pine handles. Number 23 of the first 40 produced with certificate.


    On my request, David Eckert slightly modified the throat closing mechanism so it will close right up to the blade if wanted. It gives the plane a bit more finesse in my view. Unfortunately when David did this he made some slight scratch marks on the sole (can’t be seen well in the pics because it has paste wax on the sole while in storage). I used the plane for about 10 minutes to do some test shavings and haven’t used it since.

    update - I’ve taken some images with the wax removed from sole. Scratches are very light and not really beyond what would be expected in normal use, but wanted to fully disclose because of how little use it’s had.


    I’m after $340 plus postage (plane currently retails for $439).
