Last time I was in Alberta I missed a Wadkin Bursgreen BAO thicknesser with a spiral head for $200 Can.
It wasn’t far from where I was and I’d have just taken the head home with me and retro fitted it to my thicky.
The guy who did buy it posted on the Canadian forum about the gearbox? faults the machine had so I guess that’s why it was so cheap.
Like the earlier discussion re the point of converting to a spiral head I’m now second guessing myself re selling a BOAS under and over and getting a dedicated thicknesser and seperate jointer.
They are easier to extract but it’s two heads instead of one on the combo to replace.

My trendiod neighbour has built a pool and granny flat in his back yard so sooner or later they’ll start wingeing.
We’re actually nonconforming light industrial but it’ll still be messy.
