Default QLD Split Top Roubo Workbench

    Not mine.

Split Top Roubo Workbench for sale in Brissie area. It looks well built (a smaller version of the Samurai Carpenter's bench) and can be disassembled for transport. IMHO, it's quite reasonably priced at $800.

The price does look reasonable as the timber alone would probably approach the asking price, but it is noticeably devoid of any bench hardware. Vices primarily. The knockdown aspect might be attractive and it could be a base to build on (no pun intended). It looks as though the seller ran out of money, lost interest or both.

    Paul,

I see that as being a "positive" instead of a "negative" as it's unlikely my choice and location of hardware would be the same as the owners. Same goes for the location of dog holes and holdfast holes. I'd rather drill them myself. And it looks to me that the bench has been well-used, so I don't believe it's a case of being incomplete, but you may be right with your assumption.

    Cheers,
    Mike

My first thought was the timber would be worth the asking price. As for the hardware, I dont think it would be hard at all.
