Default Big slab pieces of wenge

I was pretty surprised that you can can get 400x65x3900 wenge in Aus, and you’ll pay for it! But I do trust this guy as I have bought festool gear from him before and it was a good experience and fair price.

from the ad: Sizes of planks will range from, rough sawn, 400 x 65 x 2400-3900, blocks/slabs from 250x250x2400/400x200x2100 and all in between

Its a nice looking timber, only ever seen veneer myself. Hope he allowed for expansion in that table !
Very hard timber and you don't want splinters in your hand.

I’m surprised anyone made a solid table out of it at that price! Veneer, high value small items and high end wood art seem to be the sensible uses.

Never read the ad before now, yes the prices are somewhat high. We have much nicer timbers in Australia at 1/4 the price. Maybe buyers get more excited about exotic timbers made into furniture using little skill and even less thought about design.

Yes, use it like it was genuine ebony, very sparingly.
