They are quite a good basic saw & at that price - a steal.

That one is a later model to mine as it has the panel saw attachment and it also has an upgraded blade guard and has been modified with the E-stop foot switch. Later versions have a revised sliding table extrusion and bearing guides.

Looks like it is in a Men's shed? Too far away from me unfortunately.
The motor on my old rust bucket saw has died and this would be perfect for me.

These saws have a small shop footprint so the saw will fit on a standard pallet with the sliding table & parallelogram support, o/h guard etc removed. Though mine does not have that extra support that the foot E-stop switch is fitted to.

If you do look at it, the only potential deal breaker issues that I have found are -

    • the bearings / rollers that support / guide the sliding table are a PIA to align but seem to survive well.
    • motor start capacitor seems to require regular replacement
    • DE design is barely adequate (at best being generous) the hose fitting to the underside saw blade guard fails. I used BobL's trick to fabricate one from PVC pipe.
    • it has a modified electrical switch so what else has been modified & by who?
    • Don't expect it to rip large sections with a combo blade - it has a light duty cycle and motor protection kicks in.
