Are Sherwood contractor saws any good? I was looking at the Dewalt DWE7491-XE but maybe worth considering the 10" contractor instead?

FYI - I asked and (sadly) as expected, the garage sale items are pickup only.

I recently went through the process of upgrading my table saw and after looking at all the options went for a Carbatec cabinet saw based on a number of positive reviews including on this forum and the fact it was discounted at the time, did look at the Sherwood models including the contractor saw in their Melbourne showroom and can't see anything wrong with them, they are quite sturdy and at 2400 V has plenty of grunt however never having used one can't speak from experience and couldn't find any reviews on any of their saws on line. Have a Sherwood jointer and router table in the shed and FWIW am really pleased with them. Guess it depends on budget and what you want to use it for....the discounted price does make it appealing and if the unit was available a few months ago would probably have picked it up myself. I think it requires a 15 Amp circuit so be aware of that.

Rang Timbecon this morning about the sale and found out that its not a Saturday garage sale at all despite them calling it that - it was first in best dressed since the email came out and most of it has been sold already - complete joke!

Likewise with me, sent a query on-line about the Dovetail Jig and is gone....
